The Grove Resort & Spa Water Park Grand Opening
One question that I am asked fairly often when I am talking to someone about planning a Walt Disney World vacation is where is a good place to stay off property. That’s why I was excited when I was invited to a media event to celebrate the grand opening of the new water park at The Grove Resort & Spa. It’s always nice to see other options.
The Grove has been open for a little over a year, and it is located just a few minutes from Walt Disney World. Transportation to Walt Disney World is available. Ownership is possible at The Grove Resort & Spa, as are regular accommodations.
I was there to take part in the ribbon cutting for the new Safari Water Park. The area is quite large for a resort water park. There are two water slides, a lazy river, a large pool, and a children’s play area. The most exciting part of the Safari Water Park was the FlowRider. This was a lot of fun to watch. It simulates what it would be like to catch a never ending wave. Guests who are at least 42 inches tall can try the FlowRider on a body board, while those 48 inches and taller can try it standing up. Guests also need to be at least 48 inches tall to ride the two water slides.

The Safari Water Park is not the only water related activity at The Grove Resort & Spa. There are three other pools (including another area for the kids), plus boat rentals from The Grove’s Lake Austin Pier. There are several food and drink options as well, so guests who don’t feel like heading out can still have a full day.
I’d like to thank everyone at The Grove Resort & Spa for the invitation and for making me feel so welcome. I look forward to seeing the property grow!
